The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of a Michelin-starred establishment. This individual is responsible for upholding the highest levels of guest satisfaction, maintaining service excellence, and supporting the Restaurant Manager in daily operations. With a strong focus on leadership, organization, and attention to detail, the Assistant Manager helps sustain the restaurant’s prestigious Michelin-star status.
Key Responsibilities:1. Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Ensures an exceptional dining experience by maintaining Michelin-star service standards.
- Greets and interacts with guests to provide a personalized and memorable experience.
- Addresses and resolves guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Trains staff on hospitality and service etiquette to enhance the guest experience.
2. Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Assists in recruiting, onboarding, and training front-of-house (FOH) staff.
- Supervises and mentors servers, hosts, and support staff, ensuring high performance.
- Conducts daily pre-shift meetings to brief staff on menu changes, reservations, and special events.
- Monitors staff performance and provides constructive feedback and training as needed.
3. Operational Efficiency & Restaurant Management
- Supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring service efficiency.
- Maintains compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with suppliers for timely restocking of essentials.
- Assists in developing and implementing operational improvements for efficiency and cost control.
4. Financial Performance & Cost Control
- Assists in monitoring sales, expenses, and budgets to maximize profitability.
- Supports staff scheduling to ensure optimal labor costs without compromising service quality.
- Monitors waste and implements cost-effective measures without compromising quality.
5. Michelin-Star Compliance & Standards
- Ensures that the restaurant consistently meets Michelin-star guidelines in food quality, service, and ambiance.
- Works closely with the chef and culinary team to maintain synergy between the kitchen and front-of-house operations.
- Regularly reviews guest feedback and implements necessary improvements.
6. Event Coordination & Special Services
- Assists in planning and executing private dining events and special occasions.
- Collaborates with the sommelier and bar team to enhance the beverage program.
- Maintains VIP guest profiles and provides personalized recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or Michelin-starred restaurant management.
