Resident Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge

A luxury safari lodge in Limpopo is seeking an experienced and hands-on Resident Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge. This role requires a hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury lodges or safari operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering world-class guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departments.
- Lead and support the front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, and guiding teams to maintain high service standards.
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining a warm, welcoming, and professional environment.
- Handle guest relations, including check-ins, special requests, and ensuring all needs are met.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to enhance overall performance and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee stock control, procurement, and supplier relations to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and F&B team to ensure an outstanding culinary experience.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor financial performance, including budget management, cost control, and revenue generation.
- Assist in marketing efforts, including guest retention strategies, promotions, and partnerships.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in lodge management, hospitality operations, or a similar role in a luxury safari lodge.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a hands-on approach to operations.
- Excellent guest relations and customer service abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, stock, and procurement.
- Ability to work remotely and independently, adapting to a dynamic lodge environment.
- Knowledge of hospitality software and reservation systems is an advantage.
- Passion for wildlife, conservation, and sustainable tourism.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
