Resident Engineer

SUMMARY:
We’re hiring on behalf of a highly reputable civil engineering consultancy!
Our client, a leading firm in the infrastructure and engineering space, is seeking a Resident Engineer with strong roads experience to join their team on a key infrastructure project. The successful candidate will oversee on-site execution and ensure compliance with design and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Engineer’s Representative on site.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Coordinate and supervise the contractor’s work, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.
• Manage site instructions, technical queries, and progress reporting.
• Attend regular site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control documentation.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and provide engineering support on-site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA – Essential.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, with a strong focus on road construction and rehabilitation.
• Proven experience in managing site teams and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction contracts (e.g., GCC, FIDIC).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
