POSITION INFO:
Job and Company Description:
The Manager: Finance Reporting and Compliance will play a critical role in overseeing financial management services both operationally and strategically within the Healthcare/Financial Services industry. This position involves preparing and analyzing management accounts, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, and managing the preparation of annual financial statements. You will also be responsible for risk detection, improving internal controls, and providing strategic input to align with departmental and business unit objectives. Effective leadership and team management skills are essential to drive performance and maintain a high standard of financial control.
Job Description:

Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and distribute them to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns and annual financial statements.
Implement and monitor compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Manage expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities to achieve financial targets.
Develop and implement operational plans to meet delivery objectives.
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
Provide strategic input for business planning and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic direction.
Lead and mentor a team, ensuring performance management, staff development, and retention.
Enhance internal control systems to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Promote diversity and support transformation within the team.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

CA (SA) accreditation is essential
5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting, management, and the Healthcare/Financial Services industry.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, compliance, and statutory requirements.
Proven experience in managing teams and implementing internal control systems.
