SUMMARY:
The Field Agent / External Debt Collector is responsible for locating and engaging with debtors to recover unpaid assets and outstanding payments on behalf of clients and the bank. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, persistence, and the ability to work independently in the field to maximise successful collections. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are essential. Smartphone and Own Samsung 10.1inch Tablet is required.

JOB TITLE: Repo Agent / External Debt Collector

Salary / CTC: Great commission split, with a very high earning potential
Report to: Directors

Key Responsibilities:
Tracing & Locating:

Conduct field visits to locate debtors and confirm addresses.
Use skip-tracing tools, databases, and investigative techniques to find debtors who have moved or changed contact details.

Debt Recovery & Negotiation:

Engage with debtors professionally to negotiate repayment arrangements.
Educate debtors on their financial obligations and the consequences of non-payment.
Obtain and process signed acknowledgments of debt where necessary.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of debtor interactions, payment agreements, and follow-ups.
Provide daily or weekly reports to management on collections progress.
Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines in all interactions

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal collection agents, legal teams, and external stakeholders.
Escalate cases where legal action is required.

Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Previous experience in car sales, debt collection, tracing, or field investigations is advantageous.
A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are essential.
Smartphone and Own Samsung 10.1inch Tablet

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and resilience.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
