Our client is seeking a Registered Staff Nurse to join their team based in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking a Registered Staff Nurse to join their team based in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

Preparing a patient for theatre.
Scrubbing in theatre.
Floor nurse in theatre.
Ensuring all theatres, scrubs, drapes & instruments are sterile and prepared for surgery.
Ensuring the sluice room and clean store are kept in order.
Administrative and record keeping.
Drug register.
Patient dressings and wound care.
If not busy in theatre, assist with clinical work in the front office section.

Skills:

Exhibits strong communication skills, compassion, and empathy towards patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Holds an active and valid nursing license and must be fully registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Possesses relevant experience in a similar healthcare setting, preferably in theatre.
Demonstrates excellent clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Displays a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current best practices in nursing.
