Regional Sales Manager/Key Accounts

Red Ember Recruitment is looking for a Regional Sales Manager based at a company in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Red Ember Recruitment is looking for a Regional Sales Manager who will be responsible for marketing and selling our client''s products and building long-term customer relationships.

• This is with existing and potential new customers in an assigned market.
• This position reports directly to the head of Sales and Marketing.
• You need to develop a comprehensive understanding of the various industries that use or can become potential users of our client''s products or services and to identify growth opportunities for the client.
• Must have at least 10 years of experience in a regional sales role, managing a key accounts portfolio of over R250 million per annum, preferably from a similar environment.
  
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
  
• Establish multilevel relationships within the key account''s portfolio.
  
• Customer visits as required (travel locally and in neighboring countries).
  
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  
• Manage the order process from inception through to delivery.
  
• Manage customer forecasts and expectations.
  
• Coordinate the process of approval for new designs/artwork in conjunction with the key role players.
  
• Responsible for debtors within the account portfolio.
  
• Keep abreast with current market conditions and trends.
  
• Management of customer complaints process.
  
• Prepare annual budgets for all key accounts.
  
• Communication of commercial changes in line with specific contract requirements.
  
• Computer literate (e-mail, excel, Syspro, etc).
  
• Broad-based understanding of quality management systems.
  

• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  
• Accurate, precise, and attention to detail.
  
• Business and financial acumen.
  
• Have a good understanding of manufacturing environments and technical specifications/data.
  
• Ability to interact across all levels of management.
  

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Sales and Marketing (from a reputable institution).
  
• Business Management Diploma/Degree (added advantage).
