Regional Manager – Warehousing, Cleaning and Security

SUMMARY:
Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Regional Manager to be based at a company in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

• Lead and manage a team of site managers and staff in warehousing, cleaning, and security functions.
• Provide coaching and support to ensure high performance, employee development, and a positive work culture.

Operational Oversight:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple facilities across the region, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and according to contract specifications.
• Ensure the smooth running of warehouse activities, cleaning schedules, and security protocols.

Client Relations:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Ensure that customer requirements are met and exceeded. Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues efficiently.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure that all operations adhere to health and safety regulations, providing a safe environment for all employees and clients.
• Regularly conduct audits to ensure compliance.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Oversee regional budgets, manage operational costs, and maximize profitability.
• Ensure that resources are used efficiently and within budgetary constraints.

Strategic Planning and Reporting:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational performance.
• Prepare regular reports on performance metrics, including KPIs, and present them to senior management.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that cleaning and security standards are maintained across all sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor service quality.

Problem-Solving:

• Address operational challenges quickly and effectively, providing solutions that minimize downtime or service disruption.

Requirements:

• Bachelor''s Degree
• Proven experience as a Regional Manager, Key Accounts Manager, or similar senior operational role.
• Strong background in warehousing, cleaning services, and/or security management (preferably across multiple sites).
• Experience managing teams, including providing leadership, coaching, and developing performance.
• Knowledge of operational processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards in warehousing, cleaning, and security sectors.
• Ability to manage budgets, monitor costs, and achieve financial goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Problem-solving ability, with a proactive and hands-on approach to addressing issues as they arise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software or other relevant tools.
• Previous experience managing multiple sites or regions.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in warehousing, cleaning, and security services.
