SUMMARY:
A well-regarded company based in Johannesburg North is seeking a Reconciliations Accountant with strong experience in product and stock reconciliations. The ideal candidate will hold a BCom degree and have completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, with a meticulous eye for detail and a solid understanding of inventory-related financial processes.

POSITION INFO:
This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and operational integrity across the business's product and stock functions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations related to stock, product, and inventory accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to ensure accurate stock movement and valuation
- Maintain audit trails and ensure compliance with internal control standards
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation and account analysis
- Assist with continuous improvement of reconciliation processes and controls
- Provide financial insights and reporting relating to product costs and stock variances

Candidate Profile:

- A BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- Proven experience in stock and product reconciliations, ideally within a high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and systems
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting software/ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
