Reconciliation Analyst

SUMMARY:
A leader in the Fintech industry are seeking a skilled Reconciliation Analyst to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions by comparing and reconciling financial data across different platforms and systems.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily, weekly, and monthly business partner settlement & fee reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency;
• Partner with external business stakeholders to proactively identify & resolve any discrepancies and to drive preventative solutions;
• Conduct thorough settlement reconciliations, identifying and addressing any discrepancies in transactional & banking records;
• Continuously improve reconciliation & settlement processes by developing and implementing best practices;
• Assist with the design and development of reconciliation and settlement processes for new payment networks onboarded;
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of reconciliation methods, outcomes, and solutions;
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies by closely monitoring procedures;
• Assist in internal and external audits, providing detailed documentation and clear explanations of methodologies

• Completed accounting or finance qualification (BCom or BAcc preferred);
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role, focusing on financial data and reconciliations;
• Excellent MS Excel skills (including pivots and lookups);
• Understanding of the payments environment would be highly beneficial;
• Fluent in business English, any additional languages will be seen as beneficial;
• Own reliable transport
