POSITION INFO:
We are looking for an energetic and hands-on Receptionist / Switchboard Operator to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover). The successful candidate will be responsible for handling reception duties, managing courier / waybills, and providing ad hoc support to other departments as needed. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, take on new responsibilities, and work collaboratively with others.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer and transfer phone calls to appropriate departments or individuals
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, courier and waybills
• Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
• Provide administrative support to other departments (Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.)
• Assist with filing, data entry, and other ad hoc administrative tasks as required
• Order and maintain office supplies and equipment
• Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements as needed • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative support role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Hands-on, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Accessible to Fourways with own vehicle
- Must be available from 23rd Aug to 2nd December 2024
