SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Stores Controller (Raw Materials) with a keen eye for inventory accuracy, Bin Management and supplier coordination?
A leading manufacturing company in Howick is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Raw Materials Controller to oversee the efficient management of raw materials. This plays a critical role in ensuring smooth material flow, stock accuracy, and seamless coordination between procurement, production, and suppliers. POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience in raw material inventory management (storeman or stores controller experience required).
Stock control knowledge and strong accuracy with figures.
Intermediate Excel proficiency.
Ability to work independently while ensuring smooth material flow across departments.
Strong administrative and reporting skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and expedite materials between departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuing of raw materials, maintaining accurate records.
Implement and manage an orderly storage system, including bin management.
Collaborate with production, planning, and procurement to prevent stock shortages.
Supervise and train stores personnel (supervisory experience preferred but not required).
Ensure good housekeeping, safety, and compliance within the store.
Maintain accurate documentation for supplier evaluation, lab sampling, and deliveries.
Update and manage Accpac, resolving stock queries and ensuring system accuracy.
Generate and present monthly reports on supplier performance, stock levels, and deliveries.
Oversee and adjust consignment stock, ensuring accurate balances and supplier communication.
