RAN Optimization Manager (RF Networks Planning and Optimization _ Manager)

We're seeking a seasoned RF Networks Planning and Optimization Manager to join our team in South Africa. As a subject matter expert, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing, deploying, and managing our mobile networks, leveraging your deep understanding of 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies and Nokia vendor systems.

With his ninja-like skills and deep knowledge of 2G, 3G, LTE, and 5G technologies, the Master was a force to be reckoned with. He could navigate the complex world of mobile networks with ease, optimizing them like a maestro tuning an orchestra. From the towering cell towers to the tiny smartphones in people's pockets, he ensured that data flowed freely and without interruption.

Network Optimization:
- Define, monitor, and troubleshoot Radio OSS/Drive Test Network KPIs.
- Drive regional network daily performance improvements.
- Reduce worst cell performance by 5-10% monthly.
- Develop and implement solid optimization plans for clusters and individual sites.
- Achieve quarterly KPI targets for OSS, drive test, and crowdsourcing.

Network Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth layer 3 analysis and troubleshooting using DT log files.
- Investigate new technologies and features to enhance optimization efforts.
- Analyze traces to identify and address network performance issues.

Stakeholder Management:
- Proactively communicate network performance updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Document and track hardware faults and chronic pain points.
- Propose innovative strategies for network improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong knowledge of 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies, with a deep understanding of 4G/5G.
Proven experience in RF network planning, optimization, and management.
Expertise in Nokia vendor systems and mobile RAN OSS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
