Quarry Manager (Sand)
Our client, in the construction industry is seeking a Quarry Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing the extraction, production, and overall operations of a quarry site.
Location: Port Elizabeth/ Gqeberha

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring efficient extraction of materials while maintaining productivity and cost control
- Enforcing health, safety, and environmental regulations to protect workers and the surrounding environment.
- Managing and coordinating quarry staff, including operators, engineers, and administrative personnel.
- Overseeing the maintenance and operation of machinery and ensuring proper functionality.
- Scheduling and optimizing production to meet business and customer demands.
- Managing financial aspects, including budgets, expenditures, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensuring materials extracted meet required standards and specifications.
- Liaising with government agencies and ensuring adherence to legal and environmental regulations.
- Working with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth business operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Advantageous)
- Tertiary Qualification (Advantageous)
- 3-5 years of experience in quarry operations
- Experience in excavation and material processing.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a similar setting.
