SUMMARY:
Our client specializes in project support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industries. They provide personnel in the areas of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical.

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical
Location: Netherlands
Salary: To be discussed in the Interview
Vacancy Type: Full-Time

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in mechanical cost management and estimation.
Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:

Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and materials.

Duties and responsibilities:

Manage cost estimation, procurement, and contracts for mechanical systems.
Prepare cost reports and monitor project budgets.
Advise on cost-effective solutions and value engineering.
Conduct site visits to assess work progress and quality.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
