SUMMARY:
DBN0000031 - Quantity Surveyor (Domestic) CPT Eastern Suburbs

Purpose of the Job:
To manage the financial aspects of a construction project within a home, ensuring that the project stays within budget by accurately estimating costs

Required Qualifications & Experience:

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
2. At least 5 years’ experience in a Domestic construction business
3. Traveling from the office to various sites as required with company transport.
4. Project management experience essential.
5. Excel experience essential.

POSITION INFO:
Technical Competencies & Experience:

1. Provide cost estimates to create quotes to present to clients.
2. Based on the final blueprints that will be used in the contract, present the final quotation.
3. Manage the process of establishing a construction contract between the client and the business.
4. Create invoices for each variation order in accordance with the contract's specifications.
5. Maintain a record of invoices and provide the client with a statement for each invoice.
6. Creating Bills of Quantities for every client using the architectural plan as a guide.
7. Draft contract and tender paperwork, including any necessary bills of quantities.
8. Assess subcontractor tenders and, if necessary, engage in negotiations.
9. Assess subcontractors' work and take appropriate action.
