Quality Manager (9001 – Civils Projects) – Durban

SUMMARY:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) for the project. This role ensures that all construction activities meet project specifications and quality standards while identifying and addressing nonconformances.

POSITION INFO:
2 year Project
Based in Durban (must live in Durban or have own accommodation)

• BTech, Degree, or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Implementation and Auditing.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management for civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise in bulk services installation and large-scale civil construction projects.
• Knowledge of QA/QC tools and techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Achievement of zero major non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Consistent compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Timely resolution of quality-related issues.

• Develop a project-specific QMS aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Conduct regular internal and external quality audits.

• Oversee inspection processes for materials, workmanship, and installations.
• Approve test plans and witness critical testing stages.

• Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance processes and inspections.
• Prepare and submit monthly quality reports to project stakeholders.

• Train project staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by addressing recurring quality issues.
