Quality Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the steel industry is urgently looking to employ an experienced Quality Manager at their organization

POSITION INFO:
Location: Wynberg, Sandton

Requirements:

• Certificate in Quality Management
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and characteristics as well as specific actions relating to ISO 9001: 2015
• CAD and CAM knowledge and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• ERP Software a plus

• Monitoring the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent quality standards.
• Developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and writing reports documenting production issues.
• To stop or suspend production if quality requirements are not achieved.
• Ensure internal quality standards and quality from external suppliers.
• Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained.
• Monitor, document and track quality issues.
• Hands on assessment of quality from design to delivery.
• Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products.
• Tracking products through the manufacturing process to identify deviations from quality standards.
• Manage non-conformance and corrective action processes.
• Perform routine and non-routine quality inspections.
