SUMMARY:
Our client based in Wadeville,Eastrand is looking at recruiting a Quality Control Officer on a permanent basis.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities

Ensure that all components received and manufactured adhere to dimensional and other quality requirements reflected by drawings and specifications
Dimensional and visual inspection of all incoming raw materials, as stipulated by work instructions.
Conduct First-off inspections, in-process inspections and final inspections of manufactured products in accordance with QCP’s defined.
Completion of all necessary documentation such as inspection check sheets/reports
The carrying out of all daily inspections of components as they are manufactured, as stipulated by specific work instructions. Maintaining all quality records or control charts required

Qualifications

Matric
Trade Tested Certificate
Qualification in QC

Knowledge

Working knowledge of verniers, ring gauges, gauge blocks, radius gauges
A good knowledge and experience of ISO9001 and the functioning of the Quality Management System.
Accurately use measuring instruments

Experience Required:

3-5 years as Quality Control Inspector as part of an Engineering or Manufacturing Company

Technical Competencies

Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, procedures, industry specifications & codes.
MS Office and computer literate
Fundamental understanding of ISO9001 quality processes and procedure

Behavioral Competencies

Attention to detail
Communication skills.
Able to work independently
Team player.
Self-motivated
