Quality Control Foreman - Germiston

SUMMARY:
Well Established Company based in the Germiston Area are in need of an Experienced QC Foreman to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related Foreman position.
• Certified Galvanizers Inspector.
• National Diploma in Quality Management or related field or Grade 12 /Minimum N3 Mathematics, and English verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to read drawings (Mechanical).
• Experienced in measuring practices and measuring instrument utilization.
• Knowledge of current basic I.R. procedures.
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Syspro)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE

• Supervision and control of all the Quality Control Inspectors
• Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and procedures.
• Ensure that all inspections are conducted per the Quality Control Plans
• Maximizes efficient use of all resources.
• Is responsible for the maintenance of all the inspection records.
• Raises Shift Incidents, NCRs, and CARs and follows up on actions taken.
• Manages time and attendance of all Q.C staff.
• Interprets Company policies.
• Implements and enforces quality control procedures.
• Interprets specifications, drawings, and job orders to employees and assigns duties.
• Recommends measures to improve quality control methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Analyses and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
• Continually strives to maintain high standards and reduce the occurrence of non-conforming products.
• Keeps Senior Management fully apprised of all quality and production matters.
• Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.
• Assists SHEQ Manager in compiling weekly/monthly quality reports.
• Assists with the compilation of procedures, work instructions, and safe work procedures as related to the production procedure.
• Hold Green Area meetings with all staff
