SUMMARY:
Introduction:
Responsible for ensuring that products manufactured, meet all established quality standards by performing routine inspections, testing products and identifying defects.

POSITION INFO:
Position: Quality Control Assistant
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Benoni - Gauteng
Salary: Market related

Duties include but not limited to:

Ensure that all components received and manufactured, adhere to dimensional and other quality requirements reflected by drawings and specifications
Dimensional and visual inspection of all incoming raw materials, as laid down in the specific work instructions.
Conduct First-off dimensional and visual inspections and in-process inspections of manufactured products.
Completion of all necessary documentation such as inspection check sheets/reports.
Regularly checking and calibrating measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
Adhering to Safety and Quality Standards.

Requirements:

Matric
Minimum 2 years' experience within manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
Experienced in using calipers, gauges and micrometers to check dimensions
Experience in Safety and Quality Systems and Processes
