POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Pharmacist to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance requirements for all products manufactured by the company. The successful candidate will ensure that current processes align with the established Quality Management System (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and legal standards.
Major Accountabilities:
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 22716 requirements across all facets of the company.
- Conduct necessary investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence of issues.
- Facilitate effective and efficient non-conformance meetings to ensure actions are completed promptly.
- Ensure annual QMS reviews are conducted in accordance with ISO requirements.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits, and follow up with relevant departmental managers or suppliers to resolve findings.
- Oversee all aspects of the customer complaints process.
- Manage the satisfaction survey process for all distributors.
- Oversee the Change Control process and escalate issues to the QA Manager when necessary.
- Chair Change Control meetings.
- Ensure all products are sufficiently controlled, and correct procedures are implemented, including batch release of products (e.g., supplements).
- Conduct monthly hygiene feedback meetings with managers to address findings and raise deviations where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical cGMP across all facets of the organization.
- Provide relevant monthly or quarterly reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Pharmacist in a manufacturing environment.
- Production and quality assurance experience is essential.
- Proven knowledge of PICS, SAHPRA, ISO 9001, and ISO 22716 requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Good presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Package).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy qualification.
- Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
