Quality Assurance Administrator (Fresh Produce)

GrapeHub is a fast-growing fruit import & export company with offices based in Europe and South Africa. The company currently has an exciting opportunity (based in Paarl) for a Quality Assurance Administrator (Fresh Produce). The successful candidate will report to the Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate incoming quality of produce and compile quality control reports
• Communicate quality inspection results to key stakeholders (e.g., suppliers and customers)
• Conduct quality control registrations on the ERP system and maintain data integrity
• Conduct customer claim and complaint administrations
• Analyse supplier due diligence documentation to determine compliance with customer requirements and relevant country of destination legislation

Requirements:

• Matric qualification (a relevant agricultural tertiary qualification would be beneficial)
• Experience in the South African and/or European fruit industries (minimum one year)
• Quality control experience in the fresh fruit industry would be advantageous
• Strong administrative and planning skills
• Adaptability in fast paced environment and up-to-date industry knowledge
• Strong computer literacy skills (ERP system experience would be beneficial)
• Well-developed technical knowledge and skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Well-developed communication skills
• Openness to constructive criticism for learning and improvement
• Strong pressure management skills
• Well-developed multi-tasking ability
• Team player and willing to walk the extra mile
