Well established firm in East London are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Attorney with expertise in litigation to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will handle complex legal disputes, provide strategic advice to clients, and represent them in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation. This role demands strong analytical abilities, exceptional advocacy skills, and a client-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution, including commercial, civil, or other specialized litigation areas
- Client Representation: Advocate for clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation, ensuring the best possible outcomes
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research to provide sound advice and develop case strategies
- Drafting & Negotiation: Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements. Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and offer guidance throughout the litigation process
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards, minimizing risks for clients and the firm
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal services
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; completion of Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualification
- Licensure: Must be a Qualified Attorney licensed to practice in [jurisdiction]
