SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Data Analyst with software testing experience. This is an exciting opportunity to show off your skills and join a thriving financial business with beautiful offices situated in the heart of Umhlanga.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Review and analyse systems specifications, improving their accuracy and removing any ambiguity.
Troubleshoot production issues to assist in determining the origin of the defect.
Obtain an understanding of the business requirements and specifications for the item under test.
Ensure that the product of any SDLC conforms to the overall and scope-agreed expectations.
Display excellent overall business and systems knowledge.
Write SQL statements to assist in the testing process.
Report and document system defects using an appropriate tracking tool.
Create test packs and develop procedures to be followed during the testing process.
Where applicable, execute automation tests, review the results, and report the results to the relevant stakeholders.
Perform system analysis and testing on all system changes, enhancements, and new system releases.

Requirements:

Degree, Diploma or IT Related qualification
ISTQB certification (Advantageous)
4+ years of system testing experience
Experience working with SQL Server
Experience working on Data Migration projects
Ability to read & write SQL statements to assist in the testing process
Experience working in a BI team or data team
Experience with Data Engineering
Experience with Python
Experience with Test Automation
Experience setting up CI / CD pipelines to support an automated test framework
Working with ETL's
Experience with NoSQL
Experience with AWS Lambdas

Advantageous:

Experience with MongoDB
Experience with Denodo
