QA & Safety Representative

SUMMARY:
A fast-growing International Defense & Aerospace company is looking for an ambitious and energetic QA & Safety Representative to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
2. Conduct audits of processes, systems, and documentation to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
3. Review and analyse data to monitor quality performance indicators (QPIs), such as defect rates, complaints, audit non-conformances and non-conformance reports.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
5. Provide training and guidance to employees on quality assurance processes, procedures, and best practices.
6. Participate in the development and review of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, test procedures, configuration management and quality manuals.
7. Investigate reports, complaints and non-conformances to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
8. Coordinate and support external audits and inspections by regulatory agencies or customers.
9. Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality assurance.

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality assurance, engineering, science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a regulated industry such as aviation, military, engineering, transport, tooling or manufacturing.
3. Strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and quality standards (ISO/ SACAA regulations).
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of quality issues.
5. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in documentation and data analysis.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software for data analysis and reporting.
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
10. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

1. Certification in quality management or quality assurance (Lead Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer).
2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and quality improvement methodologies.
4. Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
5. Familiarity with risk management principles and tools (FMEA, risk assessment).
6. Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (Bow tie, Fishbone, 5w).
