Python Developer (Hardware Integration)

A client in the real-time data tracking industry, in the heart of Johannesburg, is looking for a Senior Python Developer, with hardware integration experience, to join their in-office team.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology

• 7+ years development experience
• Python development
• Experience in hardware-software interfacing, communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, RS232 and RS485
• Hardware integration (Ethernet, Modbus, CAN Bus and MQTT)

• Lead code reviews
• Develop and maintain Python applications for hardware integration
• Ensure high performance and reliability when interfacing with MOXA IO devices and HikVision CCTV Systems
• Engineer robust error handling and security protocols
