SUMMARY:
Proposals Manager - Johannesburg
Join a global Engineering - Manufacturing concern

POSITION INFO:
This person will be tasked with managing and overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of the Sales and Proposals
departments, while ensuring that company's sales objectives and targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and measuring of the quotation process and quality of the department, identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Reviewing the accurate pricing of proposals for the full range of products
Review of high value costings with engineering, procurement, and production managers
Preparing and presenting of reports regarding departmental performance
Preparation of tenders and ensuring on time submission according to customer requirements
Ensuring structured customer visits are taking place
Following up on open opportunities with the sales team and reseller network

Requirements:

A relevant technical qualification
Proven track record in sales
Contracts negotiation and management experience
Excellent commercial understanding in the sales environment
Good understanding of job costing, margins, sales and operations planning process
