Are you an experienced finance professional passionate about conservation and making an impact? We are looking for a Project Officer: Accounts & Grant Management to join this dynamic team! If you have a strong background in financial management, grant administration, and project reporting, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing and monitoring office budgets and sub-awarded partner grants.
- Manage quarterly and monthly financial planning and budget advance cycles.
- Conduct continuous and mandatory financial reviews in line with program rules and policies.
- Validate project report balances on a monthly basis.
- Monitor payments and financial reports for grant agreements.
- Prepare and consolidate financial reports and cash flow projections.
- Oversee and monitor partner contracts.
- Assist in responding to audit requests and financial data queries.
- Serve as the main financial point of contact for program-related financial matters.
- Establish and maintain a Fixed Assets register.
Requirements:
Qualification: Financial/Accounting degree or diploma
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Accountant
- Proficiency in financial management and reporting within project cycle management
- Experience managing US government donor-funded and/or multi-partner project budgets (advantageous)
- Familiarity with financial packages (NetSuite experience is a plus)
Key Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite (advantageous)

- Valid passport and driver’s license
- Willingness to travel
