Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a listed international entity, seeks your Project Management experience to oversee projects within their Retail Systems division. This 6-month contract will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery. 

Depending on the duration of the projects, there is a strong possibility for extension of the contract.  Hybrid work options a possibility.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Certification.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience in the Retail sector, essential.
• Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Occasional national travel required.

• Delivery Lead for projects in the Retail Systems department.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Co-ordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
• Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Apply appropriate project management methodologies in the management of projects.
• Ensure projects are managed in accordance with PMO processes and principles.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and report on projects.
• Timeous delivery of project deliverables.
• Take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of projects with diverse scope.
• Work with the project stakeholders for the execution of the project charter outlining goals, budget, timing, deliverables, project scope, and required resources.
• Complete work breakdown structure.
• Prepare and provide a project schedule to all participants to identify the commencement of their tasks.
• Ensure that realistic project plans are maintained and ensure regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.
• Resolve issues and problems throughout the project cycle.
• Track and report project milestones and provide status reports to project stakeholders.
• Track resources and assure deliverables are met.
• Meet on-time and on-budget project goals and participate in the identification of and planning for future resource needs.
• Ensure all project resources are fully utilised.
