SUMMARY:
My client is seeking a skilled Project Manager. This role involves the successful execution of customer contracts and R&D projects, requiring expertise in managing complex technical projects using a systems engineering approach.

POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects within schedule, budget, and scope constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the profitable execution of all assigned projects and contracts.
Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, ensuring alignment with company processes.
Keep stakeholders informed through regular project updates, reports, and meetings.
Support bid and proposal processes, coordinating costing, schedules, and statements of work.
Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on project matters.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective project execution.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company policies.
International travel may be required.

Requirements:

5 – 7 years of project management experience, preferably in a defence or technical engineering environment.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in a complex matrix organization.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Project, and experience with MRP systems (e.g., IFS).
Strong financial acumen in a project environment.
Proven ability to lead technical project teams.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to lead virtual teams across multiple locations.
Risk management expertise, with a strategic and results-driven approach.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Experience in customer contract and R&D project management.
Knowledge of electronic warfare systems and their development processes is an advantage.
Strong technical background in hardware and software development.

Qualifications:

Engineering Degree (BSc Eng, BEng) or equivalent.
Master’s Degree (MBA, MEng, MSc Eng) is desirable.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.
