SUMMARY:
Project Manager

POSITION INFO:

Project Management support to lead Project Manager and delivery of technical advisory, owner’s engineer and design services within the renewable energy sector, including planning and management with particular focus on photovoltaic, wind, battery storage and grid systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical aspects of projects in Solar PV,BESS and Wind.

• Managing high-quality quality technical advisory works.

• Project management and interfacing between engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil and control & instrumentation).

• Technical reviews/negotiate key construction contracts for, and alongside, clients.

• Assessing technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies to reduce risk exposure in project CAPEX, OPEX, and revenues.

• Review overall project design and suggest technical and design improvements.

• Be responsible for the prescription, procurement specification, adjudication and management of technical services and products.

Experience & Qualification:

• BSc, BEng or BTech Degree

• Extensive Project management experience

• Professional registration would be advantageous

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the power generation sector, specifically able to demonstrate experience on technologies, including: Solar PV,BESS ,Wind, BESS, CSP

• Experience in leading and project/contract managing technical workstreams and internal/external stakeholders to drive the overall project objectives.

• Only candidates with Renewable Energy experience will be considered.

The position will be Site based in Matjiesfontein, Western Cape. Accommodation and meals will be provided.
