Project Engineer

SUMMARY:
New Project Engineer position in the Logistics Department – Production, is available for our client in the Automotive Industry based in Kariega.

POSITION INFO:
Possible Tasks:

• Plan and develop logistics material flow concepts for production and warehouse environments.
• Create detailed layouts, drawings, and specifications for specialized facilities.
• Design and procure logistics facilities (e.g., stillages, pallets, trolleys, racking, packaging).
• Define, coordinate, and monitor project plans.
• Prepare supplier Enquiry Requests and evaluate quotations.
• Negotiate with suppliers and justify capital expenditure through appropriation requests.
• Issue purchase requisitions and oversee project acceptance via equipment trials.
• Prepare budget pricing for investment programs and cost studies.
• Develop and implement packaging specifications.
• Draft and update Logistics Material Handling Contract specifications.

• Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or Purchasing.

• 3+ years in logistics processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 18 months in project management.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Independent, self-driven, and capable of meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
• Proficient communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• Competent in creating and interpreting 3D CAD drawings.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).

• Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with SAP Supply Chain Management systems.
• German language proficiency.
