SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in Cape Town is seeking a registered Professional Architect to step into the role of Programme Manager or Project Leader.
While this role will not involve design work, you will be tasked with managing the professional team on various construction projects.
Your focus will be on architectural review processes, including reviewing invoices and reports. Your leadership will ensure project success from initiation to closeout.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- Registered with SACAP as a Professional Architect (PrArch).
- Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
- Familiarity with JBCC and/or NEC contracts.
- Experience working on government health projects and understanding of the 7 construction stages.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a multi-disciplinary team of professionals involved in building projects.
- Review and approve architectural reports and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring milestones are met and project stays within scope.
- Collaborate with other consultants, clients, and government bodies to ensure project success.
- Attend site/technical meetings monthly and provide status updates to stakeholders.
