Programme Manager

SUMMARY:
Managed Talent Solutions a Business Unit within Datacentrix is looking for a Programme Manager for one of their client. This will be a fixed term contract until June 2025. The main purpose of the Programme Manager role is to coordinate the projects within a programme effectively and manage large initiatives, managing both the dependencies and interfaces as well as oversight of any risks and issues arising. Through planning, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action, the Programme Manager drives the successful outcome of programmes and large initiatives. Programme Manager responsibilities amongst others include planning activities, milestones, risk plans, and a comprehensive plan. This is coupled with Stragetic Impletementation experience. A Programme Manager is also responsible for time and budget management, the delivery of the agreed objectives, as well as managing stakeholder relationships.
A Programme Manager will apply expert-level knowledge of the project management discipline to plan, monitor, manage and execute delivery initiatives of large scope and very high complexity from initiation through completion. Is an expert in the primary discipline plus experience in delivering technical or data-driven projects with a deep understanding of payments and financial industry solutions and platforms. Can solve complex problems, interpret internal or external issues, and recommend solutions and best practices to improve existing processes, methodologies and workflows that will enable the team to work more efficiently and to stay within project timeline, budget, and scope. Has the ability to manage functional teams and multiple, interrelated initiatives (including business transformation). Can work independently and self-directed, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification, Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Project Management qualification (postgraduate / or MBA).
• PMP.
• Required computer literacy levels in the MS Office suite and applicable Project Management Applications.
• Disciplined Agile Scrum Master
• Agile Practitioner
• Lean Six Sigma
• ITIL, COBIT or TOGAF
• Cloud (AWS)
• Experience in large complex ICT application development and execution of delivery.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Project and Programme management.
• Advanced skills and experience in planning, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Experience in Payments, Banking or Financial services industry.
• Advanced working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting.
• Expert-level risk and cost management skills.
• Proven leadership in complex project implementations and decision-making skills.

Technical Competencies Required:
Project Management - Design, implement and manage ongoing projects. Direct personnel, resources, and activities to complete tasks.
Quality Assurance - Understand the principles of the Portfolio, Programme and Project functions and processes being assured
Know how to adapt Quality Assurance throughout the engagement life cycle. Actions and tasks required at specific points in the engagement, i.e. which documents are audited when
Stakeholder Management - Understand the principles and goals of Stakeholder Management. Understand the responsibilities of Stakeholder Management. Understand the purpose and content of the Stakeholder Management Plan, Stakeholder Matrix, and Communications Plan.
Business Case Management - Understand the principles and goals of Business Case Management as defined by the project capability. Know the structure and content of the Business Case document. Understand how the Business Case is affected by external factors, outside of your Project/Programme, i.e. change in strategy, change in legislation etc.
Information Management - Understand the principles and goals of Information Management as defined by the project capability. Know how to tailor information to meet diverse needs.
Scope Management - Understand the purpose and content of scope management. Understand the responsibilities for Scope Management. Understand the overall procedure for managing the scope.
Benefits Management - Understand the principles and goals of Benefits Management as defined by the project capability. Understand the relationships between outputs, outcomes, and benefits.
Schedule Management - Know and understand the purpose and content of schedule documentation, including time and resource schedules. Know analysis techniques and reporting formats.
Finance Management - Understand the principles and goals of Financial Management as defined by the project capability. Understand responsibilities for Financial Management.
Risk Management - Know and understand the purpose and content of Risk Management documentation, including the Risk Management Plan and Risk Register. Know methods for identifying risk and appropriate sources of information. Know techniques for assessing threats and opportunities. Budgeting and Cost Control - Understand the procedure for developing budgets and controlling costs. Know how to estimate and operate contingency and management reserves.

Funding - Understand the principles and goals of Funding as defined by the project capability.
Investment Appraisal - Understand the importance of maintaining and updating the Investment Appraisal.
