SUMMARY:
Join Our Team as a Production Manager
We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to oversee and manage the manufacturing process from raw material intake to the final product. If you have a strong background in production management and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards while optimizing efficiency, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

POSITION INFO:
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Grade 12 and higher education.
GMF/SAMGA modules and practical TRADE TEST completed.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in production management, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
Experience with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, FSSC) and fumigation, grading, and OHS protocols.
Strong budgeting and financial planning skills.
Proven management experience with a focus on team leadership and HR processes.
Own transport is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily production planning and ensure all production units run at full capacity to maximize productivity and profitability.
Guarantee consistent product quality and compliance with customer specifications.
Manage production schedules and ensure products are produced and packed on time.
Maintain raw material availability and minimize shortages.
Supervise equipment maintenance and ensure operational efficiency.
Control and track stock usage, losses, and ensure product reconciliation.
Oversee the calibration of scales and ensure compliance with service frequencies.
Manage staff performance, including time sheets, leave, training, and disciplinary actions.
Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring cost control and financial adherence.
Drive staff development and foster a collaborative, productive environment.
