Production Manager

SUMMARY:
Leading and manage the production team to create a management culture that drives performance to ensure that good quality parts are produced on time in full and to budget to meet the expectations of customers and stakeholders in a safe working environment.

POSITION INFO:

AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY ESSENTIAL

Minimum Qualifications.
• Preferably an Engineering degree/diploma or Diploma
in Production Management (NQF Level 6/7)

Experience
• Minimum 5 years of Production experience in the
Metal Industry / Automotive Industry or similar,
preferably OEM.
• Experience in the Welding department is
essential
• At least 3 years in a Production Management capacity
in a unionised environment and managing a large
staff compliment.

Knowledge/ Competencies
• Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Technical skills in materials and inventory
management, production scheduling, and preventive
maintenance.
• Leadership: A demonstrated ability to lead people and
get results through others.
• Planning: Ability to perform short and long-range
planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent project and program management skills.
• Quality orientation.
• Computer proficient.
