Job Description: Production Manager in Manufacturing and Engineering Industry

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and drive manufacturing operations in the Rubber and Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rubber production processes, cost control, and time management, ensuring efficient production, quality standards, and timely delivery. This role demands a proactive leader capable of optimizing resources and fostering a safe, productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities: Production Planning and Management:

• Develop and implement production schedules, balancing efficiency with customer demands.
• Supervise the manufacturing processes, ensuring all products meet quality and performance standards.
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor and adjust production activities to meet deadlines and budget constraints.

Costing and Budget Management:

• Analyze production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement effective measures.
• Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to track and manage inventory and material costs.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets to meet financial targets.

Rubber and Material Expertise:

• Oversee rubber mixing, molding, curing, and finishing processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Evaluate and implement new materials or technologies to improve product quality and reduce costs.

Time Management and Efficiency:

• Monitor and minimize downtime by optimizing equipment usage and workforce allocation.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality or safety.

Leadership and Team Development:

• Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Promote workplace safety by enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the rubber and engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of rubber processing techniques, material properties, and industry standards.
• Proven experience in cost analysis, budget control, and resource allocation.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with specialized rubber manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
