Product Risk Analyst

SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Risk Analyst to join a dynamic risk management team. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the risk department, where the focus is to control front-line trading and ensure that senior management understands the risk-reward profile of the trading books. The role also involves 
ensuring that physical exposures, such as oil cargoes, electricity 
generation, and gas deliveries, are correctly valued.

POSITION INFO:
Product Risk Analyst
Reporting to: Risk Management

As a Product Risk Analyst, you will provide crucial support and communicate effectively with London Risk Managers, senior risk management, and traders. You will play a key role in risk reporting, data analysis, and system development, contributing to the team’s success in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and proactively communicate with London Risk Managers, senior risk management, and traders.
• Calculate and run daily risk reports, including the desk’s P&L.
• Assist in the development and improvement of systems, processes, and reports.
• Communicate results effectively to traders and senior management.
• Proactively identify and communicate potential issues to avoid surprises and ensure reports are accurate.
• Regularly engage with London Risk Managers and senior risk management to discuss issues clearly and logically.
• Present issues to the London teams in a clear and concise manner.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required by the team.

• A relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical).
