Product Manager

SUMMARY:
We require a Junior Product Manager who has at least 5 years Application or Product Management experience from the food and beverage or chemical industry. You'll be playing a key role in the entire product lifecycle, from development to market launch and beyond.

1. Grade 12
2. 5 years experience in application or product management
3. Experience from the Dairy, Beverage, Food or Chemical industries
4. Food Science or Technology Degree
5. D-Portal experience beneficial
6. Experience with SAP
7. Reside in/near Paarl/Wellington

• Identifying trends and opportunities in that market.
• Helping to decide which products to sell in that market.
• Supporting the overall strategy for that region.

• Understanding the technical details of products made at the plant.
• Helping to decide which products the plant should make.
• Working with the research and development team to create new products.

• Develop a strategy for the products, considering factors like business goals, market trends, and customer needs
• Assisting in creating new and innovative products that are competitive and profitable.
• Managing the product range, ensuring it's complete, competitive, and profitable.
• Working with global teams to align regional strategies with global goals.
• Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
• Supporting the sales team by sharing product knowledge and helping with customer interactions.
• Contributing to innovation projects and ensuring new products are successfully launched
• Working with the pricing team to optimize pricing and margin.
• Communicating product information to internal and external stakeholders, and providing training to the sales team
