Our client in the agricultural industry is seeking a Procurement & Stock Controller to join their team on a permanent basis at their Addo Facility.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric Certificate
• Diploma in a relevant field is advantageous
• 2+ years of experience in inventory control or procurement
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices
• Valid driver’s license (forklift license advantageous)
• Physically fit to handle and move stock
• Computer literate, Pastel and Excel proficiency required
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor suppliers, raw materials, and finished goods, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality purchases
  • Coordinate the on-time delivery of raw materials and finished goods for production and sales (local and international)
  • Assist in developing and maintaining inventory control systems and supplier databases
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase requests, orders, invoices, and supplier details
  • Calculate reorder points and optimal transport quantities for efficient stock management
  • Process goods manufactured, received, transferred, or sold in the accounting system
  • Ensure proper storage, security, and handling of raw materials and finished goods in line with protocols
  • Conduct and reconcile stock counts, investigating variances and implementing corrective actions
  • Prepare reports on stock levels, re-order points, and inventory turnover
