SUMMARY:
We have a position available within the manufacturing sector for a Procurement Officer.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Suitable qualification
3. 5 years’ experience within a Procurement role within a manufacturing environment
4. Excel – advanced
5. Sage experience

• Procure quality dry goods at competitive prices with optimal lead times.
• Effective supplier selection, performance monitoring, and contract negotiation.
• Accurate and up-to-date purchasing information on SAGE.
• Timely communication of order progress/delivery changes.
• Maintained price list database and filing system.
• Timely annual update of standard costs.
• Effective raw material procurement for all clients.
• Timely supplier price negotiations and rebates.
• Regular supplier performance ratings.
• Accurate documentation processing within deadlines.
• Accurate export administration documentation.
• Proactive problem investigation and corrective action.
• Seamless collaboration with NPD on changes, meeting deadlines.

• Accurate processing of orders/instructions.
• Effective production plan maximizing efficiency.
• Monitoring of production schedules.
• Effective liaison with production team.
• Accurate order processing (quantity, specification, time).

• Effective communication and staff supervision.
• Well-informed, trained, and motivated staff. (Include specific activities like regular team meetings and training).

• Timely reporting on Rework, Deviation, CAR, and Complaints.
• Timely action log preparation.
• Regular production team feedback.
• Proactive notification of delivery issues.
• Accurate stock monitoring and reconciliation.
• Inventory movement monitoring.
• Assistance with stock taking.
• Stock Loss Analysis Report.
• Timely update of SLA, KPI, and QCDSM reports.
• Timely Time & Attendance reports.

• Adherence to QMS standards and protocols.
• Adherence to GMP protocol.
• Maintained housekeeping standards.
• Compliance with company and statutory policies.
• Supplier adherence to QMS standards.
