POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies that are cost-effective and ensure the smooth running of production.
Sourcing and engaging with reliable suppliers and vendors to secure and/or review current contracts with approved suppliers.
Processing purchase orders and arranging delivery of raw materials to be used for production.
Estimating production costs and implementing a production schedule.
Mitigate any production issues that may arise.
Work closely with the logistics department to ensure finished goods are ready to be dispatched to clients timeously.
Secure cost-effective, sufficient raw materials for production and in time
Maintaining a good relationship with approved suppliers. Sourcing and securing raw materials from reliable suppliers
Implement and oversee optimal production schedule
Provide Sage stock reports monthly for decision making purposes - Stock counts, Short dated and Expired, Slow movers/Fast movers
Formalising pricing, discounts, and acceptable service levels

Requirements:

SAGE Evolution
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement, or a related field.
Proven experience in a procurement role in the food manufacturing industry.
At least 10 yrs' experience working in food manufacturing.
