Our client, a globally recognized and innovative electronics and appliance brand, is looking for a skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations within their manufacturing division based in Cape Town. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead procurement activities, optimize costs, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of quality materials essential for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with business and manufacturing goals.
• Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

• Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships for a dependable supply chain.
• Negotiate favorable contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery.

• Oversee inventory levels to balance procurement needs and avoid shortages or excess.
• Conduct market analysis to stay competitive with pricing trends.

• Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and ethical practices.

• Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide training and guidance on best procurement practices.

• Track and report on procurement KPIs, assessing cost efficiency and supplier performance.
• Present insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement management, ideally within manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Expertise in supply chain processes, inventory management, and cost control.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
