SUMMARY:

Job Advert: Process Engineer

Location: Saudi Arabia
Minimum Job Requirements:

5-10 years of experience within refining, oil and gas plants, or petrochemical industries.
Proficiency in industry codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in metering systems.
Experience in process safety activities such as HAZOP and risk assessment is preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
FE and PE certifications.

Work Experience:

Review work performed outside SAO for conformance with SAO conditions and ensure its appropriate relationship to existing installations; redesign and recommend necessary modifications if required.
Outline supporting service requirements such as drafting, surveying, materials take-off, requisitioning, and clerical services; check and coordinate the progress of such work; review for accuracy upon completion.
Develop cost estimates for engineering, labor, equipment, and materials based on preliminary design data; draw up expenditure requests and justifications; assemble supporting details.
Assist other engineers in solving problems outside their specialty.
Initiate reports, assemble performance data, and conduct studies related to the development, procurement, or adaptation of equipment; interpret codes and standards, review operating procedures and safety instructions.
Develop engineering, material, and equipment specifications; resolve related engineering problems.
Apply accepted engineering principles, codes, and standards; make necessary diagrams and calculations; consider economic factors.
Develop solutions and formulate design basis by collecting and analyzing data relative to operating requirements, process, and economic considerations to support proposals for new construction, modifications, or equipment maintenance.
Follow and inspect the construction progress of assigned projects to ensure conformance with company engineering requirements; recommend or confirm design changes, material and equipment substitutes; ensure costs are within appropriated funds or justify incurred overruns.
