Principal SAPUI5 Developer
Brief Description:
We are seeking a Principal SAPUI5 Developer to join the IS&T – ESC Branch. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of SAPUI5 applications to meet business requirements. This role requires expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAPUI5 programming, and oData integration, as well as the ability to analyze, design, and deliver efficient and scalable solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, including configuration, programming, interfaces, reports, and security requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain SAPUI5 applications to enhance user experience and functionality.
- Perform testing and debugging to ensure high-quality implementation of SAP modules.
- Develop and integrate oData services to support application functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and optimize SAP solutions in line with business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices in SAP development.
- Work closely with teams to deliver solutions that align with SAP S/4HANA standards and architecture.
- Identify opportunities to enhance online applications and drive innovation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications:
- Developer-specific SAP Certification for all levels (mandatory).
Experience:
- Minimum of 8+ years of SAP development experience, with a strong focus on SAPUI5.
- Proven expertise in software architecture, design, and development.
Core Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of SAPUI5 programming, including testing and debugging.
- Proficiency in analyzing business requirements and identifying technical solutions.
- Expertise in oData services development and integration.
- Strong familiarity with SAP S/4HANA development and implementation.
Other Requirements:
- Previous experience working with the City of Cape Town (mandatory).
- Knowledge of and experience with online applications (beneficial).
