Principal Civil Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Join our client which is a a well known Engineering & Consulting firm as a Principal Civil Engineer in Pretoria. They are looking for a passionate and innovative Civil Engineer to make a significant impact. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a talented group of professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Candidate must have a B Eng/BSc Eng in Civil Engineering.
Candidate must be registered as a Professional Civil Engineer.
Candidate should have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the planning, procurement and administration of municipal services
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, own vehicle and willing to travel to remote sites.

Responsibilities

Manage commercial, quality, resourcing, scheduling and technical risk during project lifecycle.
Experience in professional services tendering and agreements.
Experience and understanding of statutory approval processes.
Lead and manage multiple design teams, including a willingness to mentor of junior staff members.
Work well in a team environment
Strong communication and people relation management skills.
Must be a natural leader who is able to motivate and inspire all staff members.
