Power Electronic Application Engineer

SUMMARY:
The selected candidate will contribute to application design within the PowerSense® division. This dynamic multi-disciplinary team excels in the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of electronic modules as well as IoT driven hardware and software solutions.

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team, with expertise in power electronic design and development. The successful candidate will play a key role in:

Exploring innovative applications utilizing ASICs in new product design concepts.

Designing and developing power converter modules.

Creating various robust hardware solutions in line with current developments efforts.

Overall purpose:

Product development, design, testing and production.

Managing project scope before, during and after delivery.

Support existing products and clients.

Core responsibilities include:

Implementing the electronic hardware design and development of modules.

• Capture requirements.
• Develop/Synthesize and propose solutions.
• Source components and develop prototypes.
• Industrialize/Commercialize designs for high volume production.

Ensure designs are qualified and validated.

• Drafting test specifications.
• Documenting tests results.
• Ensure projects are completed and documented in accordance with the PowerSense D&D process (ISO9001:2015).

Product life cycle support.

• Provide support to clients and manage the product supply chain.

Skills required:

Any related hands-on experience in power electronic design.

Proto-typing, hardware verification, testing, debugging and troubleshooting electronic circuits.

Working knowledge of Altium Designer or similar CAD package.

Proficient with MCU firmware development in C, C++ as well as Gitlab for version control.

Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively interface with internal teams and external stakeholders.
