FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES & HUMANITIES
A full-time postdoctoral position is available in the Department of English Studies and Comparative Literature, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, at the University of Fort Hare (UFH), Alice Campus, South Africa. The duration of the fellowship is 12 months but renewable depending on the performance of the post-doctoral fellow as prescribed by the research office of the UFH. The fellow is expected to do research involving classroom interaction and learning outcomes in multilingual settings, as well as decolonial language pedagogies in the global south.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Applicant must have completed doctoral degree within the last five years;
- Must have graduated with a PhD degree in Applied English Linguistics, English Language Studies
- Preference is given to women, particularly South African Citizens and SA permanent residents
- Must be a young and emerging scholar, and
- Must have evidence of publications in DHET accredited journals (minimum of 3 publications will be an added advantage).
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO:- Undertake independent research and participate in the research activities of the Department of English Studies and Comparative Literature.
- Publish a minimum of three (3) journal articles in DHET accredited journals per annum, and
- Contribute to the research productivity of postgraduate students as well as the Department of English Studies and Comparative Literature.
VALUE OF THE FELLOWSHIP: R300, 000 annual fellowship.
