Portuguese Speaking Project Manager -Water Meters

POSITION INFO:

A Project Engineering firm based in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Project Manager who is fluent in Portuguese and English to work on a Water Meter Project in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be based in JHB but will be required to travel to Maputo regularly to oversee the project. This is a strict 2-year contract.
Salary is negotiable.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working as a Project Manager with experience working on a Water Meter project
• Must have a National Diploma either technical or management/business related will be acceptable

Duties

• Conduct audit of current installations and revenue collection and report on findings
• Negotiate and adapt implementation schedule with client over 2 year period
• Set up warehousing and maintenance facility in Maputo
• Develop a monitoring and maintenance plan with client
• Monitor and manage stock levels of meters in warehouse incl procurement of meters on last minute principle
• Set up and manage installation, monitoring and maintenance teams with the client
• Monthly progress reporting and developing strategies for revenue maximizing
• Weekly reporting to client on planning, rollout, monitoring and strategies to maximize revenue and profit
• Handling logistics of importation and warehousing of meters
